beyonce new albumSinger, writer, actress, producer and wife Beyonce aka Sasha Fierce has gone out of her way to give her fans ‘something new.’
“I usually know from the hook if the song is something that transcends language, race, and genre, and if it’s something that affects pop culture.  It’s something I can visualize people singing in stadiums all over the world.  But my favorite songs on my albums are usually not my singles.”
On her latest album, 4, Beyonce’ shows you that she is a creative force to be reckoned with.  Yes, the album has received much critical acclaim but so does anything that has the audacity to venture outside the ‘normal’ box– at first anyway.
“Figuring out a way to get R&B back on the radio is challenging… Everything sounds the same on the radio.  With 4’ I tried to mix R&B from the ’70s and the ’90s with rock ‘n’ roll and a lot of horns to create something new and exciting.  I wanted musical changes, bridges, vibrata, live instrumentation, and classic song writing.”
Despite reports of how hardworking the songstress is, everything Beyonce’ has done, up until now, has seemed effortless.  Beyonce’ hasn’t felt this much resistance in the lime light since her survivor album when the group [DC] was going through metamorphosis.
“I only allow myself one day to feel sorry for myself. People who complain really get on my nerves. When I’m not feeling my best I ask myself, ‘What are you gonna do about it?’  I use the negativity to fuel the transformation into a better me.”
OK…B!  We see you!  In fact, the next time you get some shade about your new album, we suggest you take some lyrics from your husband:  ”N*ggas want my old shit, buy my old album …”
