Back in October 2010 reports stated that Black Rob became the latest signed to Duck Down Music a deal that allowed him to work on his new album, Game Tested, Street Approved. Recently, Black Rob premiered his latest single and announced the album’s release date during an appearance on Kay Slay’s Shade 45 show.
Black Rob’s latest single will be titled “Can’t Make it in New York.” The song is produced by O.Z.10037. This is the first single off of Game Tested, Street Approved, a 14 track album set to be released in late July. The disc is said to feature production from Black Rob, who will be handling the production duties while other producers also add their instrumentals including Buckwild and Coptic.
Black Rob is presently best known for his mainstream success with “Whoa,” a song that was released in 2000 while Rob was still a member of Bad Boy Entertainment. The former Bad Boy artist released two albums with the label, 2000′s Life Story and 2005′s The Black Rob Report.
Fans can expect Game Tested, Street Approved to be released on July 26 through Duck Down Music. Below is his video “Ventilation” .
