During one of the last episodes of this past season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, frenemies Kim Zolciak and NeNe Leakes had an explosive argument during which NeNe accused Kim of treating her assistant, Sweetie, like a “slave.” In the time since then, Sweetie claims the accusation has brought “hell” to her life. She specifically takes
issue with comedian and radio personality Rickey Smiley’s “Free Sweetie” campaign, which he launched in response to NeNe’s comments. Speaking to Life & Style magazine, Sweetie said:
“They’re doing it for Black History Month and it offends me. They have pastors calling into the radio station and praying for me. They’ve taken it too far.”
As for why NeNe has her panties in a bunch over the idiosyncrasies of her relationship with Kim, according to Sweetie, it’s because she’s jealous:
“NeNe’s jealous that she’s not as close to Kim as I am. I’ve known Kim for 11 years, since I was a kid. Kim’s a great friend to me. NeNe’s traumatizing my life. She’s bringing hell to it.”
It’s funny how this broad thinks NeNe calling Kim out for the degrading manner in which she speaks to her has been traumatizing, but being talked to like a damn dog on national television is perfectly okay. But at the end of the day, Sweetie is grown, and if she likes being spoke to like her name is Fido, then who are we to judge.
