Flashback of my freshman year in college, I was riding around with some friends all over campus listening to Port of Miami. Being in the south, Rick Ross was heavily played through friends’ cars, apartments and dorm rooms. I had to get accustomed to the down south music, being a New Yorker and all. Little did I know Rick Ross would blow up to have his own empire. Although not very appealing (physically wise), he’s making his money and the groupies come flying right after the money too. The Teflon Don known for almost always taking off his shirt (as if he’s some sort of sex symbol) definitely knows how to get the crowds going when he does perform his hits live. In his past, he has been dissed about being a correction officer prior to being a rapper. But that clearly has not stopped him from reaching the level that he has now. Now that he is his own boss for the Maybach Music Group with Wale, Meek Mill, and now r&b singer Omarion, I’m sure it will continue to be a growing empire. In the future, I definitely see his empire expanding with new talented artists in the 2012-2013 year. Without a doubt, I respect his hustle.
